Céline Couturier
As a clinical psychologist specializing in brief systemic therapy, I offer compassionate and individualized counseling to adults, adolescents, children, families, and couples at various crossroads of their lives. Embracing a philosophy rooted in empathy and understanding, I employ the principles of brief systemic therapy – a solution-focused approach that addresses present challenges and distress.
I try to understand how the person is experiencing the situation that is causing the suffering, and what can be done to get better. In my practice, I approach each situation by exploring the relational dynamics, emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and personal worldviews that shape the experiences. By deconstructing the issues at hand, I facilitate the discovery of innovative strategies that promote positive transformation.
The practical exercises and methodologies introduced during sessions are designed to expand perspectives, assess existing coping mechanisms, and uncover alternative pathways toward enhanced well-being and equilibrium. Between sessions, individuals are encouraged to engage with new behavioral patterns, reclaiming their role as architects of personal change.
People seek my guidance for a myriad of reasons: anxiety disorders, phobias, parenting challenges, educational obstacles, emotional regulation, depression, interpersonal strife, self-esteem issues, transitions such as separations or losses, end-of-life issues, grief, trauma, illness, bullying, self-reflection, and professional or familial stressors, including burnout. I welcome you to schedule a consultation to collaboratively navigate your concerns.
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Université Libre de Bruxelles and a Master’s degree in Social and Developmental Psychology from the University of Cambridge. I followed training in brief systemic therapy at the Institute Grégory Bateson in Liège and Virages in Louvain-La-Neuve.
As a member of the Commission des Psychologues, I am recognized as a licensed clinical psychologist. Sessions are eligible for partial reimbursement through some Belgian Mutuelles. I offer services in both French and English.

Les types de douleur
Quand consulter ?
